i don't like to be the one to yuck ppl's yum but i liked new vegas game the best (only played 3, NV & 4, only finished NV ever, played that game to death when it came out) which was goofy all over but it also tried its best to maintain a serious and believable post-post apocalypse. according to the most discerning video essayists that was the case in FO 1 & 2 so I guess my expectations for the show came from that understanding of FO but I suppose that was a bit naive.
