General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

And what are they offering that the green party doesn't?

Your Party are an explicitly socialist party and want to replace capitalism with socialism. The Greens are a social democratic party (actual social democrats, not the faux ones that the majority of "social democratic" European parties are). That isn't to say there aren't socialist members of the Greens, probably most of them are. I'm one of them. There's just a lot of reasons not to support Your Party even if you are socialist, as I see it

Corbyn is a big brand name and the Greens are still a bit bullish on militarism. But both Greens and YP are much better than the other options.

Green are bullish in militarism?

Lmao what?

The party that wants to defend much of our defence, scrap nuclear weapons, leave NATO?

I'd highly disagree with your assesment. The only people that would think Greens are bullish on "militarism" are those let's get rid of all of our defensive capability types.

A party that isn’t led by a man who claimed he could perform breast enlargement using only hypnosis.

Then again it isn’t led by anyone.

Got a source that he claimed he can? Pretty sure it was someone at the sun pretending to be a journalist.

He apologised but since entering politics has walked that apology back somewhat.
