If you just give up on gendered nouns it's not so bad.
Yeah, getting to a decent, conversational level of German isn't that bad, but I think getting properly fluent is really hard

I wouldn't dare try to speak it cause I'd fuck it up really bad, but I'm getting to the point I can read it or understand it spoken pretty well. Rammstein and eisbrecher helped a lot, but lemmy has really helped expand my understanding.
