iirc the DKP is the modern continuation of the KPD, while Die Linke is the modern continuation of the SED. Deeply disappointing.
But the KPD exists. They were refounded 1990 in East Berlin, when the GDR fell.

They are quite obscure and mostly active in eastern Germany, but still interesting to follow.
