Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

curious what rhetoric you mean? they just pointed out that this looks like a conspiracy theory with tenuous evidence.
the oop is attributing posting patterns changing on a US subreddit to a power outage in the middle of the night in some random city with 100k people in Russia, when it was also a holiday (Halloween) in the entire US.
i don't think that it is aggressive to point out that this is a silly correlation that is actually disinformation when framed this way - lots of people are going to just read the title, upvote, and move on with all their predisposed biases feeling confirmed

no, my argument is that this is comically tenuous evidence.
its like saying that there was a power outage in New York City because Poughkeepsie has a power outage. then concluding that it is evidence of a US troll farm because it coincided with a dip in traffic on reddit during a major holiday.
