Sinn Fein became a reactionary unionist party so gradually I hardly noticed.

I've been saying it was gonna happen since I moved here and all my hardcore sf friends were mad at me and then it got to a point some left the party and were crying because SF are the Democrats but worse now.

I'm always right with my predictions

It was so easy to predict sf becoming a rural reactionary farmers party

They still won’t win enough seats. But it’s a well paid job. They have also managed to make reunification so much more unappealing to voters. Giving into notions that we will have to capitulate to unionist dinosaurs - guaranteed senate seats, changing our flag and anthem or joining the commonwealth.

If you can’t do away with the remnants of the monarchy and aristocracy like fox hunting then what is the point of a “new” united Ireland?
