Well, the "Feast of the Seven Fishes" is a thing, apparently.

It's not uncommon in Catholicism and Orthodoxy to fast on Christmas Eve, and "fasting" in Catholic terms mostly just means not eating meat, but fish is ok because it was traditionally not considered meat.
