Downvote me all you want, but confuses me the hell when communists (both MLs and an anarchists) have iPhones.
I mean you're supposed to support a classless society, yet you spend 1000 on an useless locked down device that lacks basic functionality and is nothing but a status symbol for the wealthy to brag how they own a product from this particular brand.
As an anecdote, I know a communist who has a Ché-Guevara wallpaper on his iPhone, I find it hilarious.
It is kinda verging on the theme of this frequently memed comic though:
Participation in the society they wish to change, probably.
I completely agree, if you're communist you should support mass consumerism. I'm just pointing out that iPhones aren't "exclusive" to capitalism.
