Not on energy expendetures. Cars are wasteful. Period. Trains are efficient, not as efficient as bicycles, or E-bikes, but that's what you use for the last mile.
Small planes are even more wasteful.
This whole thread I have not been posting about traditional automobiles, not cars- hold to few passengers.

Obviously have solar cells on their bodies
&
Fly & if need be drive on the ground

the least important-
Come in the shapes of classic automobiles (it would be cool if it customizable by a vote on the passengers, but not a must).
All of these are technologies that already exist, just separately.”
No way anything else, even trains, can compete in best for The Earth & All Living Beings, including Us, & in affordability!
Think about this, commercial air travel industry no longer needed, fades away, huge benefits.
