Ninja edit. I googled to find out who said it but - in a shocker - google was shit. Whatever I searched for - google insisted on "helping" me by giving me republican results. Even when I used

God - I fucking hate google. I was almost tempted to use AI because I just want the answer. But opening Pandora's box - even just lil - seems like a bad idea. Very, very bad.
It's someone local and I'm working on pulling this person into a better position.
A lot of libs have no ideology besides some nebulous drive to "help people" which manifests in them co-opting more-right-wing positions without even thinking through them.
