Installing kubuntu on an old surface laptop as win10 is dying. Asking for a BIOS password. Messaged the seller from four years ago and his random guess was it. Fantastic.

I heard Fedora has some arrangement with Microsoft as well. I think you can install it on BIOS locked computers as well. Handy to know if you're ever in this situation again

Thx, unlikely though, I picked up a couple of old surfaces cheap and mostly use them for Firefox and vlc.
