this week further refining my UnKAOS, dividing my days into segments

adding one more health/psych self care habit

doing one more skill habit

I can do this 🙂

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 2 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

Yay!! Go you!!!

Can I ask what the habits are?

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 2 hours ago

I haven't figured yet

I think thehealth/ psych one will be replace sugar with eating bananas and socialising once a week

the skill might be organising myself into doing projects, it's the only way for me to do things

Installing kubuntu on an old surface laptop as win10 is dying. Asking for a BIOS password. Messaged the seller from four years ago and his random guess was it. Fantastic.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I heard Fedora has some arrangement with Microsoft as well. I think you can install it on BIOS locked computers as well. Handy to know if you're ever in this situation again

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 1 points 10 hours ago

Thx, unlikely though, I picked up a couple of old surfaces cheap and mostly use them for Firefox and vlc.

OK the shed is almost done

Once I get that roll of fake grass in there when I'm healed up I'll be happy.

This is the play pen thing

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

That's the kitten shed? Dude. We can do this

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago

Yep it is. Once I get the fake grass in there the space will be ready

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Ohh so jealous. That would be perfect for fostering cats, or an art or music studio

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago

def be a nice art studio, look at that great window for light and all the space for desks, easels and shelves

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 7 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I know it's for kitties now but I'd absolutely use that space as a music studio lol.

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 5 points 14 hours ago

I've ignored it this whole time because I use one of the rooms inside as a studio. But you're onto something lol

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Wondering if I should start masking again because the Super K strain has resulted in an earlier flu season and easier transmission. Of course I’m getting the shot but still.

I really don’t feel like getting seriously sick

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago

do it, especially if you take public transport or go to crowded places

I see lots of people with masks on, it's no biggie

Lol. Banned again for inciting violence when recommending self-defence methods. No wonder people are starting to use infantile replacement words. OK_Work7396 you had a good run. Amazing considering I can watch ICE openly execute people on reddit.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I've been wanting to post wondering why there aren't huge mobs with pitchforks outside the WH

because the epstein files dropped and seriously, what would take , there's murder and child sex auctions in the files, where is the line?

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 13 hours ago

Be sure to use Ned Flanders language or you risk a ban.

Terrible sleep followed by Sunday scaries. Oof.

Edit: I definitely managed to wrench my ankle favouring my knee. Melbcat and I slept most of the day and are snuggling.

Matey potatey ate the dry food while I was sleeping so I didn’t get a chance to get a good picture or give him the drops. I’m fretting a bit because I feel responsible for him now

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 12 hours ago

aw gees, just rest if you can

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 5 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Meal prepping day. I bought myself some silicone food moulds (souper cube ripoffs) for Christmas which has been excellent for portion control. This week I will be mostly eating eggplant parmigiana (made 2x2cup serves baked in the same silicone tray i will freeze them in), instant pot shredded chicken (will freeze in half cup serves), a giant baked vege plus fetta plus chickpea roasted tray to pop in the fridge. I have salad bits and silverbeet and some fresh basil and mint too. I need to remember to put some yoghurt on overnight and that plus blueberries plus LSA is breakfast.

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I caramalised 15 onions for two hours.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)
[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It is yum. Tired no but I find it easier to do a batch then not have to spend spoons on food thinking during the week

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 points 12 hours ago

Agreed, I front load other tasks

[–] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 8 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Entire bedding washed, pillow, doona, sheets, mattress protector, everything. I'm going to sleep like a log tonight

My mandarin was very disappointingly dry.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 16 hours ago

nothing worse

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 13 points 21 hours ago (7 children)

I have "dates" on Friday, Saturday and Sunday now. Oops 😂

[–] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 9 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Don't forget, if they are all different people, you can wear your perfect date night outfit every single time

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 7 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Efficient. practical. cheaper.

bonus points wearing it alternating inside out to save on washing.

I have been listening to the soundtrack to Cool Runnings. It's terrific fun.

Couldn't find the pic with both objects at the same time. Hope the jumper is hideous enough for you.

Cleaning day yay :(

House is easy.

The shed however is a different story.

Edit:

Oh I forgot. Big stray cats update:

I've got some great help!!!

I found a vet that will spay them for free, and some places that are interested in taking them after spaying. But they need somewhere to chill while they're healing up.

Enter the brick shed.

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through cleaning it out. Lots of boxes for hiding, I've got this roll of fake grass that's been in the backyard since I moved in. Heavy fucker, but I'm going to try to get it in the shed today after I've finished tidying.

I have several cat carriers for transporting fluff balls.

I have a massive play pen thing that'll have blankets etc for chilling out.

I have a portable aircon for hot days (already had it)

All that's missing is a couple of those industrial fans from bunnings, then the cats themselves.

The cat traps are being delivered on Wednesday.

Progress!!
