When someone argues that you are conflating things, and then you conflate them in your response, pointing to that conflation does not work as a data point against that you're conflating them. It doesn't automatically make you wrong, either, but it doesn't help your case.
You're not wrong I was just pointing out that within the context I have certainly seen it used like that and I usually just use single " and let the context make the sarcasm clear. Didn't mean to start an argument and def not defending goat. Just looks like everyone in that thread sucks.
I don't think that always works. We probably wouldn't need /s if it did.
