If you are a member, sympathizer or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Nothing is preventing the internet from being exactly the way it was in the 90s. You're on such a website right now. I, for one, don't believe the internet is so far gone because 4 or 5 big, popular sites are utterly shit.

These are different things, and insofar as that remains the case, we should act accordingly.
And the "what is" here is that those terrible sites are not the majority of the internet. They're barely even a fraction of it.

Time Spent: TikTok (58 min/day) leads in daily time spent, followed by YouTube (52 min/day), Instagram (42 min/day), and Facebook (38 min/day).

SM is not 100% of the internet
All those sites combined still only account for 10% of global traffic. And 10% is not a even close to a majority.
The other 90% is streaming traffic.
But you’re right! So why not ban access to that 10% for kids. You can use the other 90% anonymously. (You can’t actually because streaming services cost money, but you know what I mean.)
