got a decent look at the small squeaky beast that's been investigating my compost heap and look. I've had pet mice and I've had pet rats, and that thing actually looks like a dunnart!

In the right area, and lots of reserves nearby for the White footed Dunnart - it just might be! Long nose, notched ears, furry tail all present?

couldn't see the notch, but the excessive tail length, extended snout and rotundness were all very present.

Another reason it can't be mice: We know for a fact there are rats in the area. And mice are fucking terrified of rats
