I was scrolling Lemmy earlier and saw the porn Spam. Fucking disgusting, and then for some reason I got more than 100 DMs telling me to kill myself. I don't know if that counts but this is really not what I signed up for when joining Lemmy. I just want to scroll and see funny memes, maybe hear about or learn interesting stuff.
You gotta block what you don't wanna see or choose an instance that has similar values to you as they'll be defederated from a lot of shit you don't wanna see.
did see the dickpic shit, due to not much auto moderation there are quite a few of those...
the DM thing is weird, i never got any.. (other than the nicole spam) perhaps you triggered some weird person :/
You see ads? Have you tried ublockorigin?
It wasn't an ad, it was a disgusting spam user spamming pictures of their penis everywhere.
Oh, huh, weird, misunderstood you some how. When on the all posts there are a lot of porn related ones, they aren't hardly worth clicking on, if I want porn I can go to the porn video sites, more there than you can shake a stick at. Yeah I learned my lesson clicking on any of the nsfw ones because it might not be something you want to see.
