Huh, you’re a little older than I thought.

My Dad was in his teens, and we’ve had a chat about what he remembers - he’s the one that taught me the little jingle, and taught me to do old-money sums using the bag of old coins his Mum still kept to use in the Christmas pudding! - but I didn’t realise you were near that vintage too.

It was a lizard on the 2c and some sort of little possum on the 1c, if I recall

feathertail glider on the 1c, a frilled neck lizard on the two, echidna on the 5, lyrebird 10, platypus 20, the crest on the 50
