Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Despite the title, the video isn't actually about how cheap the country is and how cool that is for tourists. This YouTuber is best known for traveling all over China on a motorbike and showing what life is like for locals, highlighting the unique parts of their culture, etc. She talks with folks about the sanctions that cause their economic situation. Recommend this video and her entire channel.

also for people wondering how people can pay more rent than their salary (besides multiple income households), you can usually deduct rent by putting a deposit for a year (which acts like a no interest loan in a high inflation environment). the common formula for it is for every 100 million toman in deposit (600$), subtract 3 million (18$) from rent. so for example a 50 meter squared flat in tehran with an average rent of 24 million toman (145$) would be 800 million (4800$) deposit with no rent for a year, or 12 million (70$) monthly rent with 400 million (2400$) deposit for a year.
