For real. Respectfully I would like to ask: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! This man was a 7’6” god among mere mortals, absolutely dominating the NBA and single-handedly yanked the China market into basketball’s orbit. Nineteen points, nine rebounds, blocking shots like only YAO could AND NOW? Silence.

It’s like everyone forgot Yao. Is it because his career was short by injuries? Pathetic. We celebrate guys who barely sniffed the level Yao was at, but Yao? Gone from the conversation. Are we that short-sighted? That fickle?!

We should be talking about him every day. We should be building shrines. Instead, we sit in this abyss of disrespect, pretending like he never shifted the ENTIRE landscape of the game.

WAKE UP. Open your eyes. The sleeper will awaken soon, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it.

A Poem for Yao (If You Even Care):
Towering giant, forgotten too soon,
You rose like the sun, set by the moon.
We failed you, Yao, with silence and lies. Heed the call before the sleeper cries.

It’s too late.

It's not so much that I hate Yao, but I hate low-quality posts.
