Ring of death in my Haverford is getting bigger so I'm going to buy that Saponificio I've been thinking about. Considering the 70th anniversary scent cause people seem to have good things to say about it. Any other recs folks? I'm thinking something floral, citrusy or awuatic since spring and summer are coming.

Believe it or not my approach for a while has been to have one or two main soaps I use, a couple more to keep around for variety, and strictly one out, one in. A while ago I decided I don't want to accumulate an endless supply of soaps that I'll never get through. I do have quite a few fragrances around though but I've slowed down on those and pretty much have the variety I'm looking for.

I have Opuntia (an Aventus dupe, but a fairly complex one) – which might fit the bill for summer scents, and Tundra Artica – which is glorious Oud scent, but not so summery. The 80th anniversary soap might be for you (see the scent notes here). Anyways, you can't go wrong with SV IMO.

Also pinging @gcgallant@wetshav.ing, the man with the biggest SV collection around (and who shaved with the 70th anniversary for 2 or 3 consecutive months).

I agree with PBNT ( @PorkButtsNTaters666@wetshav.ing ) about Opuntia. Definitely in the Aventus family but with its own character. I love that one. If you like vetiver, then Desert Vetiver is absolutely terrific. It pairs extremely well with Terre D'Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver but, again, is not a dupe imo. 70th and 80th are excellent and sophisticated fragrances. To me 80th is in the Bleu de Chanel family.

This sounds like a better system than whatever the hell I'm doing.

It takes a lot of willpower and I kept away from wetshaving groups for a good couple years and I feel I can resist the FOMO now.

You have achieved enlightenment! πŸ™
