I think I've got maybe 4 or 5 twins over my life (37m) how did this happen?

It’s more common in hens that are either just beginning to lay or just at the end of their fertility. Maybe this producer is just starting up with new hens? Leghorns are also more likely to have double yolks and they lay white eggs.
