Whatever podcast I heard this on was reading from an article (wapo maybe?) that sounded like an advertorial. "The company has been providing high quality stylish and comfortable shoes to Americans for over 50 years. And with many models costing only $140 they are an excellent value." (From memory not a quote.) If it isn't a weird power game it could be a sponsorship deal?? Someone needs to investigate floresheim ownership.
More journalism is needed on this issue as clearly something funny is happening. How does Donald trump even know about such a low end brand? I assume these people are all wearing very expensive shit all the time, probably their socks cost more than $140.
