This is interesting because I'm diagnosed with ADHD, but I'd rather have way too much to read even useless information, as long as I have every single bit of information I need for the task with minimal guessing required

Same. My anxiety about doing the task wrong is so distracting that clear instructions helps sooth the symptoms.
