  1. DO NOT DOXX YOUR KIDS - Seriously, use an alt for this comm or keep it vague; otherwise we’re centralizing info about everyone’s kids into a single place that can be easily focused on.
  2. No jokes about dead kids - I don't care how much the romanovs deserved it, or how right John Brown was, save it for another comm.

What a week... Our well pump died on us this week after what I learned was almost 40 years of service. It was a cool $3400 to get it replaced. Sadly the new one isn't rated to last that long. "They don't make them like this anymore" is what my plumber told me.

That has wiped us out for now... We'll recover, and I take some solace knowing we don't have a water bill, just this one large upfront cost.

How's everyone else doing?

Frustrating but not having a water bill must be so nice!!

Our issue right now is car repairs. AC is out, need new tires, need a new windshield. We live in a place that is extremely car dependent, so as much as I’d like to switch to a bike it’s just not possible. Gas is already getting pretty painful too. Ugh. We’ll be ok but it’s going to get tight I think.

I hear you. My car needs breaks and I just had the coils replaced which isn't cheep. Then this happens... Very annoying!

Yeah I've never had a water bill. Before I bought the house we were renting and utilities were included. I can say I'm happy having my own source of water. I really need solar lol. Everything in my house is electric. Solar + replacing the baseboard heating with a heat pump system would be killer. The upfront costs though... Not realistic currently.
