No, actually, both sides are bad. American bipartism is a trap that only benefit the Epstein Class, who are both rep and dem. Destroy the dems, replace them with a true Left. Go for Mamdanis and such.

Oh cool and while we're getting around to that, we can maybe like, not let Republicans have power anymore?

My french ass says "guillotine the fuck out of all of them and make it illegal and punishable by death to accumulate money and ressources past a certain amount."

[–] agent_nycto@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Super duper on board with that. While we're building the guillotines we should vote though

[–] BaraCoded@literature.cafe 1 points 4 hours ago

Before voting you must make sure to replace your dem candidates (so, collaborationists) with leftist ones, else no one will see the point in voting.

The only way that happens is with a third option, otherwise dems and repubs will be happy to keep playing hotpotato literally until the end of time.

Ok Cool, so while we're working on reforming our voting system so third parties have a shot, why don't we.... Not let Republicans have any power by voting. You know, in the meantime.

Not let Republicans have any power by voting.

I must have missed the part where conservatives didn't have any power for the past 200 years because people were voting.

And in 200 more years people can say the same shit, while still choosing between two far right parties where one is a bit less evil and a bit slower in making shit worse, but we better not try a third option yet then either, or the more evil, worse faster party might win.

Oh, don't get it skewed, we should definitely work towards changing things outside of just voting, but we should also vote while we're doing those other things.

O, how do I do that if I've been convinced not to vote?

[–] agent_nycto@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

You could change your mind and vote. Or do a targeted assassination if you're serious about it.
