invading Poland, invading Finland, occupying the Baltic states, crushing the Hungarian Revolution, invading Czechoslovakia, invading Afghanistan, arming the Derg regime in Ethiopia, funding proxy wars in Angola and Mozambique, intervening in Moldova, intervening in Tajikistan, bombing Chechnya, invading Georgia, invading Ukraine, funding separatists in the Donbas, bombing Syria, arming militias in Libya, funding mercenaries in the Central African Republic, funding mercenaries in Mali
is it ok?
Wait, are Poland and Czechoslovakia during WWII? I don't feel comfortable putting those two on the list (I didn't put "invade France" for the US either, which would be absolutely bizarre). I'm also going to filter out the separatist one, bc I didn't include KLA either for America, for example.
Actually, writing this, I notice I would have to vet all of these one by one before I would feel comfortable adding them to my comment, and I don't have time for that. I did promise to add them to the list, so as a compromise I propose I just add a link to your comment, with the explicit caveat that I'm not sure if I agree with all of it. Would that work for you?
You need to define the criteria. France was liberated by the allied forces. And French government was independent immediately after the war (France even withdrew from NATO). Poland was under Soviet dominion until 1989. 1947 were not free elections.
For me that counts for sure.
Regarding the comment do as you prefer 😜 lacking clear criteria anything is up to interpretation.
