Folks won't have to bother; if they instituted even a limited draft, the basic training system would collapse immediately
Ambulance exhaustion, psych holds, hospitals on the training bases overwhelmed, fights, catatonic trauma responses, panic attacks, barrack RIOTS, drill sergeants unable to cope leading to rule-breaking like putting hands on conscripts
Support roles for the training system are already understaffed, if they really want to dare then look forward to seeing a political crisis develop after the chaos on the bases hits the news
The inevitable video footage of fleeing US soldiers being chased down by Iranian drones is surely gonna help with morale.
I truly hope they're stupid enough to do it because it would just hasten the collapse of the empire.
