Recently a Trans congresswoman here, Érika Hilton, has been getting a bunch of attacks just because she was elected President of the Committee for the Defense of Women's Rights, and last year was also a target when she was elected one of the Women of the Year by a magazine. She's actually a pretty good politician overall, but just because she's trans, she suffers all kinds of prejudice, including from right-wing congressmen. Two of the most prominent attacks were by the two far-right politicians, Nikolas Ferreira and Adrilles Jorge (this one is a straight up nazi, I'm not kidding), where they both used a wig in the congress to try to claim they are women and to try to discredit all trans women. The good thing is that Érika is very vocal and outspoken person that don't take this shit lightly, she fights tooth and nail whenever any type of transphobia happen there.

Another very recent case of transphobia involving her was when the Civil Police of Recife included a photo of her and another trans congresswoman Duda Salabert in an album robbery suspects of a smartphone out of nowhere, which is just completely insane.

Also, a few days ago a marxist-leninist content creator here in Brasil called Humberto Matos has made a video in defense of Érika Hilton proving she's a woman using texts by Engels and Lukács as basis for his arguments. And you can guess what most of the comments were. At the start there was a lot of positivity and a few transphobe leftists in there, then it got inundated with both left and right-wing transphobic comments of all sorts, alongside a bunch of TERFs in the comments too.

Good thing all the big Marxist content creators are not like that and always mention trans people's struggles every now and then, but it would be even better if they talked more about it and if we had trans Marxist content creators too.
