Don't sell yourself short. The heels are really the hardest part. You have to build up the muscles if you want to go out in them. I believe in you!
My job is mostly physical work so I do have muscles (not much but an appropriate amount of muscle), but I don't have the courage to do it in-front of people anyway XD
ankle stabilizing exercises help - fold up a yoga mat several times and set a timer for like 5 minutes as you try to balance on one foot on the yoga mat. It should burn by the time you're done, try a shorter timer for like a minute and work up if you start to have pain or it's too much.
Create a softer surface and fold the yoga mat more times if it's too easy.
