yeah but maybe a specific one? but that still doesnt solve the problem of not being able to communicate with users that have instances that are defed with each other.
it makes me feel like just hopping off the fediverse altogether is the way to go so that we have a more controlled and safe environment. our specter will still haunt them and they will give us free ads. since the structure is doomed to fracture the queer community maybe its just best to create a new situation, idfk.

I was excited when I initially heard we were federating with blahaj, but was off the internet for a while due to real-life taking me away from the internet for a couple of months. Was kinda shocked to see how that all went down when I got back. Especially with the 196 nonsense. As I've said before, it's fucking baffling selling out your instance to chasers and transphobes just for traffic.
