I don't mind God not being 'good.' If the state of the world could be explained by God being an edgy teenager, it wouldn't shock me that much. (Obviously, I hope the concept of hell isn't real, but that's about it.) Sure, it would be nice to have a loving God, and I don't want to take that comfort away from people. I just assume that if God is real, His motives and goals are basically unknowable. Truth be told, humanity might just not be that important in the grand scale of the cosmos... and that's fine.

Yes im spiritual pls no bully

I'm not spiritual but subscribe to the same belief. It's called theological non-cognitivism or ignosticism. Essentially it's the idea that if there I'd a higher power we don't have the means to perceive it and therefore shouldn't act as if there is one. Like, if divinity existed we'd understand it as well as a marmot would understand nuclear power and to act on such an insufficient amount of information is probably not the best call. The complexity of what God involves is so beyond our perception that it's both impossible as well as pointless to bother.

My opinion is that god is a jerk and we should train some teens with spikey hair to stab him with giant swords

It's pretty similar. Those spiky haired teens need to level up and stuff.

Other philosophy communities have only interpreted the world in various ways. The point, however, is to change it. [ x ]
