  • No trigger discipline
  • No hands on the wheel
  • Open container of alcoholic beverage
  • Speeding egregiously
  • Driving a Nissan

All checks out.

Do you buy an Altima as a gateway into this kind of behavior? Or is the Altima the way you show the world you engage in this kind of behavior?

[-] Thrashy@lemmy.world 24 points 9 months ago

Good good, it is an Altima, isn't it? I didn't dare to assume but after a bit of Googling the interior is a dead ringer for an 07-12 Altima -- objectively the hooptiest of all Altimas. This guy really is a walking stereotype.

Definitely using paper plates too.

[-] PanoptiDon@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

Only for people who've played video games /s

[-] Beinion1011@lemmy.world 35 points 9 months ago

Don’t forget about the phone, he’s using it to take the picture.

[-] bruhduh@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Better yet, it should be a second hand BMW instead of Nissan

[-] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Using phone while driving...

[-] 1984@lemmy.today 2 points 9 months ago

So true it hurts. :)

[-] citrusface@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

You forgot using phone while driving

[-] robocall@lemmy.world 67 points 9 months ago

I wish if you posted this shit on social media, you got your firearms taken away.

[-] RegalPotoo@lemmy.world 31 points 9 months ago

I live in a place with sensible firearms laws, so this is totally a thing. Gun owners are licensed, and part of that license is a "good character" and "legitimate purpose" check. Self defence isn't a legitimate purpose, so if you start running your mouth on Facebook about shooting people on your property there is a tip line people can send reports to, and you can expect a visit from the local police. Similarly, getting caught DUI will violate the good character requirement and you'll need to surrender your guns - you'd better be able to account for all of the guns registered in your name or you'll end up with a much more serious conviction

[-] Mac@mander.xyz 11 points 9 months ago

I feel like they should take guns away simply for poor trigger discipline.

[-] 1984@lemmy.today 2 points 9 months ago

Most of the world doesn't even have guns for their citizens. But I have switched my opinion a little bit on this topic. I used to think nobody should be allowed to have a weapon at home. But after seeing the constant failure of police departments to protect people, and the increased crime levels, I now think it's actually not a bad idea to own a gun. Nobody else is going to protect your family.

[-] maniclucky@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago

That sounds so nice.

[-] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 32 points 9 months ago

Hopefully this fuckwit only hurts themselves with the terrible trigger discipline and the drinking and driving.

[-] designatedhacker@lemm.ee 14 points 9 months ago

Drinking and driving 90MPH.

[-] Thorny_Insight@lemm.ee 23 points 9 months ago

Definitely not a rage-bait

[-] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 20 points 9 months ago

$2,000 gun and still driving a Nissan

[-] Woovie@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

Do you think that spending $2000 on something you enjoy like a hobby means that you should have a more expensive car?

Regardless, it's a meme targeting the idea that Nissan drivers, especially Altima drivers, are aggressive road rage drivers and poor decision makers. Just googling "Nissan altima aggressive" shows plenty of examples of this idea.

[-] TTimo@lemm.ee 6 points 9 months ago

It's a little more than an idea, but yeah.

[-] solidgrue@lemmy.world 19 points 9 months ago

That trigger discipline tho...

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 28 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

The trigger discipline, the fact that they're holding a gun while driving, the fact that they're holding a gun while driving on a highway, the fact that they're holding a gun while driving on a highway and taking a photo of that situation with their other hand. All that, while driving along at what I assume is 90 miles per hour (since I assume it's in America). And seemingly balancing a drink can (alcoholic?) on the steering wheel column.

Everything about this is awful.

[-] deranger@lemmy.world 15 points 9 months ago

Don’t forget that the hammer is cocked, making the it single action rather than double action. Much less trigger pull (length and force) required to fire.

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 4 points 9 months ago

the hammer is cocked

Huh, I didn't know that was a thing with modern handguns. Only ever heard of it before with old west six guns.

[-] Willy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

The length of pull on the first shot with that gun is pretty long, even with the hammer back. not sure why.

[-] BottleOfAlkahest@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

Angry orchard is definitely an alcoholic drink...drunk driving at 90 with while showing off your gun...this photo just needs a hamburger to be peak America.

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 2 points 9 months ago

Ah thanks. I was struggling to even read the label of the can. Was tossing up between it being alcoholic or, based on the colouring, a high-in-caffeine drink.

[-] nickwitha_k 2 points 9 months ago

It's an alcoholic cider.

[-] solidgrue@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

Most of that is just any given Thursday in the US.

The trigger discipline, tho. I mean, they teach that in kindergarten..

[-] FartsWithAnAccent@lemmy.world 15 points 9 months ago

Oh man, I remember that asshole. He has a whole series of pictures like this.

[-] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 9 months ago

It has to be staged, right? Right!?

[-] Sabre363@sh.itjust.works 10 points 9 months ago

Cup holders exist for a good reason

[-] PMFL@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

Finger on the triger?

No, no... 🤦‍♂️

[-] Suburbanl3g3nd@lemmings.world 6 points 9 months ago

I can't wait for someone to do this and shoot the gun accidentally. You know it's coming given the massive collection of accidental discharge videos on YouTube

[-] therealjcdenton@lemmy.zip 6 points 9 months ago
[-] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago
[-] Heavybell@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

No no no, penis small. That's what the gun is for.

[-] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

lolol oh yea it’s near impossible to convery sarcasm properly online ><

[-] johannesvanderwhales@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago
