I used to live in a neighborhood with trees, birds, squirrels. The squirrels seemed to understand that my kitties couldn't get through the screens and taunt one of them.
Now, we live in a downtown apt building. The trees aren't as tall as the building. There aren't a ton of birds. But the kitties have window ledges and watch people below and the occasional bird. I wish they had more "shows" to watch through the window, but we live in a much nicer / larger place otherwise.
