And what's app. 100% chance whatever you type in the bot gets fed into your own personalized algorithm!

I honestly have no idea what it does, because I have no interest in that shit and have never clicked it.
I clicked it by accident and it began talking to me. I'm pissed off and think I'm going to delete Instagram. (I hate it but my SO messages me there a lot).
Whatsapp has ai? Is it country exclusive?
And Facebook Messenger. And WhatsApp.

I thought MS abandoned Cortana? I wouldn't personally know (been living in Linux for almost 20 years).

copilot might be a good idea if executed properly, but knowing microsoft they're not going to execute it properly.

I'm so not looking forward towards having to switch to Windows 11 for my work PC.
I'm working primarily with WSL and Neovim, but still: bleh. =.=
Edit: Apparently, this is Facebook's and not Microsoft's AI bullshit. I mistook the former for the latter.
why do you have to switch? purely software reasons? just curious, not going to try to tell you how you could achieve the same things on linux or something

There are many honest criticisms of closed-source Beeper, but I use it so that I don't have to use Meta's apps which will ever-evolve into more powerful data-consuming monsters that they are.
I don't know about Beeper.
It's an app to aggregate your chats over a encrypted Matrix protocol, but using Beeper's Matrix servers as relays.
There are complaints about the app being closed source, the app being incompatible with other matrix servers besides their own and they will be implementing an optional paid subscription in the future. All valid criticisms, but they also have released the source for the bridges to each service so that tech savvy people can set up their own service using a different Matrix app.
It's useful for me as an easy way to stay connected with the various contacts on those platforms (until Beeper I was prepared to just go radio silent on them), while still maintaining a degree of separation with Facebook.

I am getting so irritated with AI everywhere. It doesn't even work right. It just seems so lazy
And it seems actually pretty basic. I tried asking it a couple of things just for my amusement and it all could have been written by a teenager.
Yeah, cause people are just hooking stuff up to chatbots and expecting it to do everyrhing instead of actually building tools for the job they need
