it's just a picture of what happens when you defund about everything except the bare minimum to keep someone alive.

when the education system is in the top 10 companies in the state, while having bottom 10 education, you know you probably dont want to be there.

Even by going by American standards of what is “good,” it’s interesting to see the south with such a superiority complex when they rank worst in almost every metric that matters lol

I see that you conveniently forgot to account for college football. Keep bathing in your own inferiority, carpetbagger.

Is the education system being that high purely from how much they pay college football coaches?

i think it's strictly employee count and salary relative to other companies. regardless yes, a decent chunk is probably due to the crimson tide.

Living here (not AL specifically) is just constantly feeling like Ralph Wiggum giggling and saying he's in danger.

The land itself is so beautiful it's actively pissing me off what they've done with it. Just settler shit.

Welcome to some of the most breathtaking ecosystems you've ever encountered, here's six gas stations and a Hardee's

Just wait until you see every state Alabama borders.

This is a hell of a picture.

This is the sort of thing I was talking about when I was talking about the photo of the Palestinian woman holding her dead niece (the photo that won World Press Photo of the Year). I get the idea that the award is kinda lib, but photo journalism itself, when done right, can be a very powerful medium.

Definitely.

It really is sad how nothing has changed.

I regret to inform you that I had basically the same experience in Los Angeles.

Don't sleep on white people they're fucked up in lib areas too.

Yep. The food is awesome, though. The best vegan meal I ever had was a fried green tomato sandwich from a super unassuming bakery-cafe. If you go out to eat and see it on the menu, you have to get it

Never been to Alabama but I've been to Florida, and almost as soon as I landed in Ft Lauderdale I could feel the disregard for human life. It's a quality in the air, like humidity

Which isn't to say it's much different here on lib mountain, but here they at least pretend, usually.
