Now I can say that anyone who is voting for Trump is voting for an outright convicted felon and they can shut that shit down about being the party of law and order once and for all!!!

They'll just say he was framed. You can't reason with these people.

Never thought I’d see this. Finally some good news!

I'm also happy for this, but he can still run for office. I'll be happy when he's no longer a threat to people.

Jail time isn’t realistic but I want him sentenced to community service tasks that have the funniest photo potential. I want pictures of him in a hairnet and apron holding a ladle at the soup kitchen.

Oh to be a bug on the wall when Trump signs that request to DeSantis to allow him to vote. Convicted felons can't vote in Florida without the Governor's okay.

[-] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I thought, possibly erroneously, that since it's out of state and NY allows felons to vote unless they're incarcerated he could still vote in Florida.

That's not gospel.

He resides in Florida and votes in Florida. Florida has a law that says convicted felons can't vote, doesnt matter where the felony was commited. An election was held in which this was reversed, but the state legislators put more requirements on the rule instead. That being that felons must pay all court penalties and request the ability to vote from the governor.

BTW, I also think it's funny that he can't hold a clearance now for governmental classified information

Trump is now an official member of FAFO.

I'm so mad at the Biden campaign deciding to stay silent on this. Just letting Trump control the narrative, now all the news is talking about is trump's baseless complaints. Biden should have called on Trump to resign as a convicted felon is behold the dignity of the office. Of course Trump wouldn't, but at least the conversation would be about whether Trump should resign. Common dems stop being wimps.

Dems have always been really bad at messaging.
