Critical theoretical difference: that relates to real life movements whereas this is somebody on the internet who posted a discord link with almost no context on leftist forums. I think pbpza will survive a fedposting reply written half as a joke whereas the consequence for a real person in a real action or organization having the same done to them are dire.
This is just some weirdo soliciting DMs for some Discord link they'll give out. They can't even pick something like a private Lemmy instance. It has to be something as compromised as Discord.
