3 HOURS!!

https://canvas.fediverse.events

i would also like to know what countries have participated this year!

i'm planning to sell canvas posters to help fund the project and any future events i would love to run

stickers for the following instances will also be sold to support them:

  • mastodon.world
  • toot.community
  • blahaj.zone
  • lemmy.world
  • toast.ooo
  • Canvas 2024

i've spent a little over half the last year to rewrite canvas from the ground up and it's been very very fun running the event so far, stressful, but fun :)

if you're interested in getting a print, drop your country below so i can calculate everything and make sure it's available

if everything goes to plan the prints should be available after the event ends 🀞

This has been one of the most wholesome and heartwarming things I've seen online. People behaving well and working together. Kudos to the organizers and all the participants.

I want to know who's responsible for the giant portrait of what looks like Yvonne Strahovski.

Star Trek is a country, right?

That community's mods are assholes. One of them told me I was mentally ill and insinuated psychosis just because I disagreed with their views on religion. They only created that community so they could have a private fiefdom to abuse instead of having to follow the rules on startrek.website.

Thanks for your work on this grant, and especially for the fast work fixing the issues under pressure. I had fun benefiting from your efforts.

It is kind of weird that there wasn't a US flag

We should of done team USA

Anyway I live in the US and would be interested in getting a poster

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 22 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'm okay with seeing fewer American flags. They're already everywhere in front of every house and business and office. The US could do with a little less nationalism.

As I printed 2017, 2022, 2023 with enough black tape to call it my own. I will print 2024 with just as much.

This year's one filled up nicely compared to last year it seems!

Poland, definitely up for buying

Damn, I missed out on this year's Canvas. Last year I made India's flag by myself and it was so much fun.

[–] sag@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago

Tension not someone made it.

[–] late_night@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 months ago

Belgium, also interested :)

Considering it/probably: US (sadly)
