While I love seeing Chinese officials school news organizations, etc., in their own laws and regulations. The guy, David Sedgwick, whose book she mentions is a weirdo conservative. I have not read his book, but here is an excerpt from an amazon review:
Sedgwick believes that the main driving force behind BBC bias is a crude form of cultural Marxism which has infected the Corporation progressively since the 1960s. It is also obsessed with political correctness and wokeness. Sedgwick argues that the BBC’s political agenda is subversive, and it wants to overthrow and replace the country’s traditional values and beliefs.
