Only stock market manipulation. The US don't care about that if you're famous.

I was watching BlackBeltBarrister earlier and it sounds very unlikely he'd get charged with anything. Sadly, whilst he is a complete bellend, his words don't amount to anything criminal.

We have seen one arrest for false information posted on social media. Leading to riots.

We have seen violence since the false post about sending rioters to the Falklands.

So no criminal action is very much a questionable statement. That post can definitely be seen as attempting to incite further violence. And just like the women claiming the Southport murders were done by asylum seekers. The intent is down to CPS, followed by a court to decide. An arrest is defiantly warranted.

Was the person arrested a billionaire by any chance?

Laws like that don't apply to oligarchs.

Nope. More to the point she was in the UK.

But the thread I responded to was not about how likely it was.

But responding to weather the UK legal stucture considered his actions an offence.

So my amswer was based entirly on that.

Currently parliment dose not have to do anything. The UK police and CPS already have grounds to issue a warrent if he enters the UK.

But yiu are correct. It is unlikely to happen.

Agreed. But it won’t happen.

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
