He handed me a joystick and said we were going to play some kind of flight simulator game. My memory gets fuzzy after that. The man knows how to party.

It is so wild to me that the year this happened X-Files aired an episode in which a plot is uncovered to remote hijack commercial airliners and fly them into the twin towers.

It was the pilot (haha) episode of its spinoff show called the Lone Gunmen, but yeah. The Defense Department had been brainstorming airline terrorism false flag scenarios since at least Operation Northwoods in the early 1960s.

It's too bad the show was canceled on a cliff-hanger after the the first season. The guys stopped 9/11 and didn't even get any respect! The X-Files writers were so pissed that they killed off all three characters in a later episode.

Didn't the Simpsons also do a 9/11 episode years before 9/11?

I like the image of Cheney watching 9/11 with his foot up on his desk like Danny DeVito taking bong rips in Always Sunny

many people don't know this little tidbit, but I was actually going to be invited to this sesh. unfortunately, I was only 2 years old, so it was decided I probably shouldn't be chilling this hard or even getting blitzed out of my mind, but it's still up for debate

I'm sober enough to know what I'm doing and I'm drunk enough to really enjoy doing it.
