The only thing I can think of that they'd want from me is so they can recommend me cool stuff on AliExpress
So the actual, unironic take in lib engineer circles is that China is using backdoors to harvest all your saved account information, use one account to hack all your others like dominoes, and eventually cripple Americas industries and critical infrastructure in one fell swoop.
I am not joking. They truly believe this is what China is building up to, which makes me think China should seriously strengthen the PLA and PLN. The State Dept is up to something here.
