Folks, how's the fam? How are you?
We are on day 3 of the kids sleeping through the night 100% while sharing the bed!! Tomorrow we ditch the bed for bunk beds. The oldest is stoked to have the top bunk. We'll get some space back in the room.
Exciting things are happening!
Tell him to watch out for the ceiling lol. I shared a room with bunk beds with my sister growing up and more than a few times bonked my head on the ceiling.
Also I had this little plush bat from the book Stella Luna I always hung from the rail on my bunk.
By far the coolest stuffed animal I ever had, has little velcro patches on its wings and feet to wrap its wings around it and hang by its feet.

Not a parent but I did help raise my little brother who is 15 years younger than me. My older cousin came to visit this past weekend and her youngest son seems very attached to me, he's a good kid. He's the one I posted that roast of me about him saying I remind him of Klaus from Umbrella Academy which is simultaneously cool as hell cuz Klaus rocks but his specific words were "that medium that is high all the time" which, fair lol.
I feel a bit guilty but I was asked first thing this morning but my employer if I wanted to take VTO because we were overstaffed. I was on the fence but found out I was scheduled to drive a branded van today and that was the decider. But I've been sort of treating it like a partial mental health day. The Youngest is at day care and the oldest is at the grandparents. Partner is at work. So I've been sort of low energy chilling and fiddling a bit with this Squarespace site I'm working on but not doing really much else. I shouldn't really feel guilty but we are at a financially stable point for now and that could have been an extra $200 but I took it the VTO anyway. Idk. It's probably for the better because tomorrow and Wednesday are my actual days off and I'm gonna be doing stuff the entire time.
I might have to cash in some of that sick leave on this new job early. One of the boys has a croaky throat, I'm feeling it as well, and we had an appointment awkwardly close to my start date.
If I set expectations now I can take the day off without using the little leave I have
