there's a posthardcore scene? maybe a slight revival but that scene died in like 2003.
this is revival metalcore, riding the success of Knocked Loose. unfortunately it's being taken over by chuds since they love the "tough guy" asthetic of the music
despite all the big bands being leftist/communist/anarchist and very open about it
(sorry not trying to sound snooty about obscure genre terms im just an old that grew up in the OG scene)
i haven't been to any revivalcore shows in a couple years now but it was a cool scene around '21-22 with lots of queer and lefty types
Softer metalcore adjacent bands were all lumped under posthardcore in late 2000s. Escape the fate, Falling in Reverse, sleeping with sirens, pierce the veil, dance gavin dance, a day to remember. More kids know post hardcore as this and not as thursday and at the drive in
ah ok. yeah i was out of the scene then. was never even exposed to any of those bands except when a Day to Remember was easycore. explains things though since that's where all Radke comes from
