Accidental Renaissance

AccidentalRenaissance is for photos that look like Renaissance paintings.

This means that they look like Renaissance art in their composition, their coloring, their saturation, the angle of the scene, the types of settings, etc.

πŸ‘‰ Must be a photo. Not a meme, drawing, art, ai-generated or ai-enhanced image, screenshot, low-effort post, meta posts, video, or anything else but a photo.

πŸ‘‰ Must be SFW. No gore, porn, extreme violence, blood, corpses, or similarly disturbing content. Absolutely no pornography, even if it's "tasteful".

πŸ‘‰ Comments must be civil. No slurs of any kind or using words to insult, demean, harass, or abuse other individuals or groups.

πŸ‘‰ The Renaissance part (not the photo itself) must be accidental to the photograph. In other words, no photos of Renaissance fairs, people dressed in medieval/Renaissance clothes, etc.

πŸ‘‰ NO influencer selfies, professional photoshoots with watermarks, any type of OnlyFans-like content. We are not the place to work your side-hustle.

πŸ“Έ If you know who the photographer is, give them credit in the comment section. This is the only type of self-promotion we allow.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦― Alt-Text for vision-impaired users in the post body or in the comments is highly encouraged. Just pretend you are describing a photo to someone on the phone.

Why do i feel like this will be one of THOSE kinds of pictures in the future?

Give it a year and chinese gamers will pop into chat just to say 'al green' and half the lobby gets kicked from the game.

This picture will be in the "Prelude" section of the Wikipedia article.

There are at least 3 resolutions in the House (probably more by now) calling for the censure of Al Green. 193, 197, 189. I would frame those and hang them outside my office.

They already voted to censure him. Several Democrats voted in favor. Figure that one out.

β€œShut up, Al, we’re trying to negotiate good deals for ourselves. Don’t rock the boat!”

Any idea what the ramifications are for getting censured? I might be willing to vote for my own censure just to stick my thumb in someone's eye.

edit: nothing. No ramifications. I definitely would vote for my own censure.

I wouldn't unless I thought I actually did something wrong.

Ugh, of course the NY Dems that voted for it are from long fucking island.

Al should hit up the protest movements. Or they should hit him up.

Many Democrats voted to censure him. Please, tell me more about how they’re actually, totally, not controlled opposition.

10/214

I honestly wonder if y'all can do math sometimes.

That's 10 too many, and just one example of Democratic complicity in this fascist takeover. One of the DNC's most influential strategists, James Carville, has recommended that Democrats "roll over and play dead," and the majority seem to be taking that advice to heart.

Insane America has a Neo Nazi admin and the party is even allowing it's members to vote to censure the only who had the balls to actually stand up to him and derail the speech. Fuckin shameful.

How fitting to have the giant golden fasces right next to him (yes I'm aware it's not new).

There's multiple in the building. I'd argue that being made when America was still a slave state genociding a continent isn't better, nor when the country was in the middle of Jim Crow.

There was a period when neither fact was true, and then neoliberals immediately started merging corporation and state.

What a hero. I hope other stand up to trump like him.
