It's kind of funny to me that people attempting to correct various wrongs in society are still punished by society.

I understand that it's to discourage this behavior overall. But it seems so interesting to me that various people have various lines that they would draw in the sand as to what is acceptable and what is not.

It's kind of almost a "winner writes history" kind of moment. Depending on what group is in power, they will decide what would be acceptable. In this particular case, some people thought it would be acceptable to control the bodily autonomy of women to the point where it could lead to their deaths. But it's okay if they kill people that way. Because it was written into law by people in power.

Ideally, we would live in a society where we could work an issue like this out civilly. But I guess we don't, and this is what happens.
