So, I haven't actually dropped the massive rizz bomb on her yet, but things are going incredibly well.
She's really into my music. She is impressed, and I sent her downloads because she wants to listen to the music while she does workouts.
We've been having really lovely talks, and then she asked me this question:
Do you know other vegans and/or communists where you live?
And, y'know, I wish I did.
I shed light on my situation with job hunting and how it's been a pain in the ass, but I do intend on getting the fuck out of this reactionary region when I do sort it out.
She said that she highly recommends that because it's so much safer to have community. She then asked me what kind of job I'm looking for.
I'm not being overwhelmingly picky, but she gave me a solid recommendation: healthcare jobs that require little experience.
Due to the high demand for hospital staff, she found it was a great recommendation for me to consider. She herself said it pretty much seemed like it guaranteed her work, and she's hopped from hospital job to hospital job herself with little hassle.
I applied to some healthcare jobs, and I have an over-the-phone interview today. I'm nervous, but I'm gonna keep pushing.
I sent her an image of by the way, and she liked it!
Also, a good thing to keep in mind regarding me leaving Florida and finding community:
3 days into me interacting with her, I told her that she's such a vibe. And her immediate response wasn't just, "Oh, thank you!" or anything like that... she immediately responded with, "If you're ever near me, come hang out! We can do activism together too."
I like where things are going... wish me luck. Hopefully, healthcare jobs are friendlier, but in the meantime, I'm still checking out whatever places I can find with a bit of a bias for applying to healthcare jobs.
