If the quarter was so bad, then why is the stock going back up? I do not seem to understand the stock market. Who keeps buying this stock? I know buy the dip but fuck me.

Trump softened his stance on China tariffs and admitted he wasn’t going to fire Powell. Market went up right after that.

Large index funds match the stock market on a percentage basis, not based on individual performance. So they take in billions every day from 401k contributions in paychecks and buy Tesla, not because Tesla is doing well, but because it's in the S&P 500.
