I'm amazed anyone is left in the US government that can even be capable of doing mediation. I would assume they'd get advice like hey, if India and Pakistan both become the 51st and 52nd state then you won't have to fight anymore

I don't think Trumf has gone through the ambassador core yet. So it was probably the US ambassadors in that area.
