"Go woke, go broke", they said. It's rather "Extremist Play, Earnings Decay".

I just hope other EV manufacturers get the lost sales and this isn't pushing people to dino juice sippers

Our Uber was in a BYD the other day. Asked the driver how he liked it. He said he had a Tesla for about two years and it didn't come close to the BYD. He said the BYD had more features, longer range, faster charge, and was more comfortable, for about 70% the price of a Tesla.

If it weren't for artificial support and trade barriers, I bet Tesla would be a dead brand already

I see this headline like six times a day for the past two months

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago

Still makes me giddy every time though.

and meanwhile this this is the last month of TSLA. I don't understand it really

I love following this cause I hate Elmo muskrat, the stock is currently being propped up by the robo-taxi service tesla is about to launch. Thing is it already looks like it's gonna be a shit show and they've already said live humans will have to monitor them. I hope it launches, flops, and TSLA hoes though a decade of market correction in like a month.

Would love to agree with you but the stock has already been propped up by the "self driving coming to all vehicles" that never happened and there was no correction either :/

that's because investors don't read arstechnica, they read bloomberg

wait for a similar headline there, you ll see some effect

Shenanigans

I often see the headlines talking about Tesla's sales plummeting, but rarely see any like this that attribute them to the correct cause.

And ideally some teeth too.

In Australia, the current spin is that Tesla was outsold by BYD because of the changeover to the new Model Y.

It will soon become very obvious if that is actually the case.

[–] dumblederp@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

BYD are better and cheaper too tho.
